Faculty Instructions for Submitting Senior Theses to the Claremont Colleges Digital Library (CCDL).


To have a senior thesis accessible in the Claremont Colleges Digital Library (CCDL) requires the following:

  1. Recommendation and submittal by the faculty advisor.
  2. Students must sign a copyright permission form giving The Libraries of The Claremont Colleges and the CCDL the non-exclusive rights to disseminate via the Web for educational, research and public service purposes. The form is available for printing at http://ccdl-theses.libraries.claremont.edu/Copyright_Permission_Form_for_Sr_Theses_CDL.doc
  3. The signed forms should remain with the faculty advisor or college department, who are then responsible for long-term archiving the permission.
  4. If the thesis is a text document, students should submit their thesis in PDF format to their faculty advisor.
  5. If the thesis is a video (in the case of Media Studies), students should submit their thesis in a .mov (dot mov) file to their faculty advisor.
  6. Senior theses are submitted electronically at http://ccdl-theses.libraries.claremont.edu/cgi-bin/thesis-login.cgi
  7. Faculty login using their name and 10 digit library card number.
  8. At the upload form, fill in all fields, including an X mark in the copyright box which indicates that you have the students signed copyright permission form.
  9. Using the Browse button, attach the thesis and submit.

Allow 10 working days to have access to thesis in the CCDL.
